Foundations for your Cross-Cultural Journey
From preparing to go all the way to returning home - this suite of three courses will prepare you for the practical challenges you will face when crossing cultures. Take one, or all three with the bundle below!
As well as self-study, we offer cohort learning experiences.
It is a rich experience, meeting once per week online with a small group, led by our Dean of Studies.
Self Study or Cohort Learning
By the end of this course, you’ll be equipped with the tools to grow your cultural intelligence and intercultural skills. You will explore how socialization shapes your own culture and identify your cultural baggage (that you may or may not be aware of!). We’ll also learn how to break down the wall of separation between cultures.
Self Study
A one-stop course to address three practical stages of a typical mission journey: Pre-departure, Culture Shock and Re-entry. It is divided into bite-sized informative steps and provides essential keys, from practical tips for transitions to overcoming culture shock to ensure your success in every stage of your mission journey.
Self Study
In this course, we examine the different dimensions of support that are needed for a successful cross-cultural experience or lifestyle. Having good support systems in place can make or break your adventure. The course is packed with practical examples and provides a guide for best practice.
