Introduction

Welcome to our Cross-Cultural Marriage course! In this series, Ben and Shiyani guide you through the purpose of marriage, the joys and challenges of blending cultures, and the practical tools that help couples thrive—not just survive. This course is designed for anyone in a cross‑cultural relationship, those considering marrying someone from a different background, and even pastors, counsellors, or friends who support cross‑cultural couples. Whether you're from different countries, regions, tribes, languages, or religious backgrounds, you'll find valuable insights here. And while we teach from a Christian perspective, anyone can benefit from what we share. You’ll also get to know your hosts:

Shiyani, born and raised in Sri Lanka, and Ben, a British third‑culture kid who grew up in India. Married with two children, they share openly from their own experiences as a multicultural family.
